Hello everyone! Guess who and who were at the academy!
So you have the talent and the skills, then what? Want to start a business? How do you start your business? More importantly, how do you run your business?
Because we care so much about our students (graduated and current), we have decided to help them take charge of their future in the Fashion Industry by training them on how to start up and manage their businesses. Since the 22nd of October, the Academy, in partnership with FCT Sure-P has been organising a weekly Entrepreneurial Training every Wednesday from then till December.
The Empowerment Training is aimed at equipping Women and Youth in the FCT with the basic skills required to assist them start and run sustainable fashion businesses. To show we mean business, we are not just offering random and mediocre lectures, delivered by stuffy resource persons who don’t know a dime about running a Fashion Business; we are inviting experts and entrepreneurs from the Fashion industry and other relevant industries to share their knowledge, skills and experience in assisting the enrolees from SURE-P and other regular Flair Academy Basic and Advance Dressmaking/Fashion Design students acquire the essential skills necessary for start up businesses.
So far we have had the honour of hosting three remarkable and knowledgeable professionals in the industry who have really made our weeks by delivering brilliant and spectacular lectures. So my dears, here’s a sneak peek of what has been going on so far:
Hajiya Fatima Ogohi, the CEO Wearhouse Limited, Abuja gave an elaborate lecture on- Planning Strategies to open a Business.
Mrs Oluwayemisi Omotosho, HRM EDC intrigued us with an eye-opening and very informative lecture on – Building a Team to Drive Success that was delivered with so much eloquence that if present, you’d be glad you didn’t miss it. It was a good treat with extra sugar and spice sef. LOL
Mr, Seyi Adekunle, CEO House of Vodi, Wuse II, Abuja while talking about internal and external marketing, shared his experience in such a way that he gave a fantastic and educating insight on the whole concept of grass to grace. His lecture was extremely encouraging and motivational.
So, you’ve seen how great the lectures were, trust me, you need to be there to catch the drift. Why not come over to experience a lil’ bit of Flair? I assure you, you’ll ask for more; here are my numbers- 08062637142, 08172023850
