About Us

Flair Academy was set up as a Vocational Training Institute that provides a solution to the challenges of Unemployment and lack of skilled manpower for Small and Medium Enterprises due to lack of well funded, Structured and Accredited Training institutions. The Academy is equipped with Modern equipments and infrastructures (Smart Classrooms, e-library, state of the art Laboratories, etc.). Our mission is to train students  in the fields of Fashion Design, Interior Design, Professional design courses (3Ds Max, Auto Cad, AnimeStudio, Visual Effect, Photoshop, etc. and Construction (Painting/decoration and tiling courses).

Flair Academy’s long term plan is built around the following basic principles:



To be a World Class provider of Vocational Education in Fashion Design, Interior Design and Construction courses in Nigeria.

Creating opportunity for purposeful employment for young men/women by building and nurturing collaborations between Flair Academy, Government, its agencies and NGO’s encouraging self employment/reliance and poverty alleviation.
Regularizing and Standardizing Vocational and Technical Education in Nigeria.
Introducing Professionalism in Training and Recruitment and improving Service delivery in the Nigerian Small Scale Industries.

The Academy is for the young (8 years minimum) to upwardly mobile, imaginative, innovative/creative persons who dream about innovative concepts, loves to work with details and are passionate about learning new skills and the possibility of pursuing a career in one of the numerous fields of Fashion Design, Interior Design and Construction.



The Academy is headed by an Academic Board consisting of 7 members. The Training Director runs the Day – to – day activities of the Academy.

Management Team


Flair Academy is headed by Aisha, a 1998 graduate of Chemical Engineering from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She served in the Corporate Planning and Development Division of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), before joining First Bank PLC as a Graduate trainee in 2001. She resigned from First Bank in 2003 to follow her dreams.

Her natural flair for fashion Designing and fine arts, combined with her knack for bringing out the best in fabrics has helped her over the years to create outstanding designs that have continued to endear her to her ever growing customers. She teaches Fashion Design, Dressmaking and Patternmaking at the Academy.

Management Training/Experience:
As an employee, she was part of the Management Trainee program of First Bank PLC (2001-2003) obtaining expertise in areas like Selling Skills, Customer Service skills, Accounts & Clearing Skills, Cashiering Skills, etc.
As part of her personal development plans to equip her to hold the reins, she has attended various training programs including the:

She has successfully managed House of Flair, a successful Fashion Design outfit and Flair Academy for 10 and 3 years respectively.

Our Training Philosophy combines the two forms of learning – Know-How Ability and Do-How Ability.

Flair Academy’s training model is a Certified and Structured Training Programme.
We run theory based courses in our Ultra Modern classrooms and training facility with practical applications in our Fashion and Interior Design studios.
